Playtech acquires Eyecon in £50 million deal

Playtech has announced its acquisition of Eyecon in a deal worth £50 million.

Eyecon, a supplier of online gaming slots software, was founded in 1997. The company has developed more than 70 games. According to a statement made by Playtech, Eyecon's content will improve its own position in the UK market.

Eyecon Founder Scott Murray said that he is delighted to be joining the Playtech family. Through Playtech's distribution power, Eyecon will be able to enter new markets. The acquisition agreement states that Murray will remain with the business for a minimum of three years.

Playtech Chief Executive Officer Mor Weizer said that the new content will provide the company with an even greater reach. Playtech is looking forward to working with the Eyecon team.

Playtech signs deal with Warner Bros.

In related news, Playtech has signed a new deal with Warner Bros. The new deal will see the company license and develop new casino games content. Each of the new games will be linked to the DC Super Heroes Progressive Jackpots.

The new casino games will be available on various platforms. The new titles that are set to be released are Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and the Batman Dark Knight Trilogy.

Weizer mentioned that the DC-branded games that the company released in 2016 had been very well received by the public. He believes that the new agreement that Playtech has signed will take its launch strategy to a whole new level, allowing the company to expand its offering with new DC-branded titles.

He concluded that Playtech is thrilled to be working with Warner Bros.
