British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has partnered with International Game Technology (IGT) to launch a new game titled Powerbucks. The game features a prize pool with progressive jackpots.

Powerbucks is a new way to connect mobile and desktop versions of the game with land-based gaming venues. All of those platforms are connected to the same prize pool, which means that practically anyone now has a chance to win a cool prize.

Looking at concrete numbers, players have a chance to win CAD$1 million. If you bet anything from $0.50 to $2.99, you qualify for a chance at a static $1 million jackpot winning. However, if you bet $3 or more, that qualifies you for a chance to win some major progressive jackpots, starting at a minimum of $1 million.

IGT Regional Vice President for Canada David Flinn commented that the launch of Powerbucks in Canada is an important milestone for the company. According to Flinn, Powerbucks is another stepping stone in the company's vision to develop innovative games that transform the ways in which players can enjoy entertainment. He also mentioned that IGT and BCLC share a 19-year-long history of partnership.

BCLC Vice President of eGaming Monica Bohm said that Powerbucks represents a whole new jackpot casino slots experience in North America. Additionally, she commented that players now have the opportunity to win $1 million jackpots from the comfort of their home, as well as land-based casinos if they so prefer.
