Alice Stars is one of the world's first poker live online casinos that also offers a VR experience. The company has already hired the top two Asian poker pros, with more likely to come.
Sunny Jung and Leon Joker are the first pros to join Alice Stars' AlicePoker Team Pros. The terms in their contracts state that they have an obligation to compete in international poker tournaments, promoting the no-deposit online casino. Their tasks involve not only promoting the casino that hired them but also the game of poker as a whole.
Jung has amassed some impressive tournament winnings, totaling at $1,306,307. He is also the APPT ACOP 2013 champion, playing No Limit Hold'em. For his performance, he earned $561,228. The next year, he competed in the same tournament, this time finishing in second place, earning $548,002.
Joker is also a well-known name when it comes to online poker and poker in general. Formerly a Tencent Pro Poker Player, most of his fans come from China, which comes in handy when promoting the game to Chinese players.
Alice Stars CEO Jiwoon Kim said that the company wants to portray poker as a game of the mind, and that this is the reason behind why it sought out these Asian poker pros. He also expressed his vision of Alice Stars becoming the go-to point for every Asian poker player and the best online poker service in existence.
Kim said that the best possible marketing strategies are being used to bring the company closer to its goal, and that it has the best industry developers on its team.
The AlicePoker desktop gaming software is set to launch in October this year and will include some VR options. A mobile version of the same app is scheduled to follow in December.
